The TP4056 3.7V Battery Charger Module is designed for charging lithium batteries using the constant-current/constant-voltage (CC/CV) method. It ensures safe charging and provides essential protection for lithium batteries. Compatible with USB and adapter power supplies, the TP4056 eliminates the need for external isolation diodes thanks to its internal PMOSFET architecture and anti-reverse charging path. The module includes thermal feedback to adjust the charge current, limiting chip temperature during high power or high ambient temperature conditions. The charging voltage is fixed at 4.2V, and the current is adjustable via an external resistor. The module terminates the charging cycle when the current drops to 1/10 of the set value. Upon power removal, it enters a low current state to minimize battery leakage. It can also enter a shutdown mode to reduce supply current when a power supply is present.

Usage Instructions:

• Power Connection: Connect a micro USB cable or 5V DC to the IN+ and IN- pads on the left side of the module.
• Battery Connection: Connect the battery to the B+/B- pads on the right side of the module.
• Load Connection: Connect the load to the OUT+/OUT- pads on the right side (disconnect the load while charging).

Note: The ampere meter should be connected to the 5V input end. The recommended charging current is 37% of the battery capacity (e.g., 400mAh for a 1000mAh battery). Ensure the connection wires are not too thick. A high input voltage (e.g., 5.2V) will reduce the charging current to protect the chip.
